The active ingredient of the drug is colistin sulfate, an antibiotic from the polymyxin group, which is a product of the fermentation activity of the Bacillus polymyxa strain.
Colistin sulfate is active against gram-negative microorganisms, including Enterobacter spp., Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp., Salmonella spp., Proteus spp., Pasteurella spp., Bordetella spp., Bacteroides spp.
The drug is used in calves, pigs and poultry for colibacillosis, salmonellosis and other gastrointestinal diseases caused by gram-negative bacteria sensitive to colistin.

| Application | The drug is administered orally, individually or in groups with water for 3-5 days (for salmonellosis - 3 days) in the following doses: - pigs and calves – 60-80 mg per 10 kg of animal body weight; - for poultry – 62.5 mg per 10 kg of bird body weight or 50-75 g per 1000 liters of drinking water. |
| Waiting period | Slaughter of calves, pigs, and poultry for meat is permitted no earlier than 7 days after the last application of the product. Meat from animals and poultry slaughtered before this period may be used to feed carnivores. Eggs from laying hens are used for food purposes without restrictions.
