Tiamulin 45% BT is indicated for the treatment of respiratory (bacterial and enzootic pneumonia), gastrointestinal and urogenital tract diseases, mycoplasmosis, dysentery, erysipelas, chlamydiosis and other diseases in pigs and poultry caused by microorganisms sensitive to the tiamulin.
Tiamulin hydrogen fumarate is a semisynthetic derivative of pleuromutilin. It provides a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity against Gram-positive (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Listeria monocytogenes, Corynebacterium spp., Erysipelothrix suis, Clostridium spp.) and Gram-negative bacteria (Bacteroides spp., Fusobacterium spp., some strains of Klebsiella spp.), Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, Rickettsia and Borrelia. Bacteria of the family of Enterobacteriaceae, including Salmonella spp., and E.coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Fungi and Viruses are not sensitive to the drug.

| Dosage and administration | For oral administration via feed or water once daily for 3-5 consecutive days. - Pigs: 0,6-1 g per 100 kg body weight ((equivalent to 2,7-4,5 mg API per kg body weight) or 200-450 g per 1000 kg of feed. Swine enzootic pneumonia, mycoplasmal arthritis, dysentery: 15-20 g per 100 litres of water. - Poultry (broiler chicks, replacement layers, turkey-poults, goslings, ducklings): 25-50 mg per 1 kg body weight (equivalent to 11-23 mg API per kg body weight), or 300-500 g per 1000 litres of water. No other source of drinking water should be available during the medication period. To ensure uniform distribution of the product in the feed, use 2-3 step mixing. The daily dose of the product is mixed first with a small amount of compound feed and then introduced and mixed with a daily amount of feed. The medicated feed should be used within 10 days. When medicating large volumes of water, first prepare a concentrated solution by adding water to the product with constant stirring and then dilute by introducing the concentrate to the amount of water for daily intake. Fresh solutions of tiamulin-medicated drinking water should be made up every 24 hours.
